Book Review: Faux Paw by Julia Dweck

My Review:
★★★★★

Once again, Julia has written an absolutely adorable story. This book delivers a strong and clear message to children that they can grow up to be whatever they want to be. I love how the mom in the story supports her son's dreams completely.

Walden Bear is a little boy that wants to grow up to be a bear. When the teacher tells him that it is impossible, his wonderful mom steps in to help her son live his dream. The ensuing fun is too much for the dour teacher. With wonderful characters, a great message, and fantastic illustrations, this book totally deserves the five star rating I have given it!

The little boy bear knows a lot about bears and does all the things a bear would do. A child can learn a lot about bears by reading this book. There are also bear facts in the back of the book, as well as a match game to play.

I recommend this book to anyone that loves a great book with a strong message, wonderful characters, and cute illustrations.
