Raingun (The Talan Revolt, #1)

This is a book for you if you enjoy action packed, adventure type books. I enjoyed the story in this book, but the writing style threw me off occasionally. There was a lot of jumping back and forth on the story's timeline, which I found confusing at times. It didn't always seem to be integral to the storyline.

The book really makes me think of a RPG. The way magic is used and the way people are resurrected upon dying a set number of times really brought quite a few games I enjoy playing to mind. I actually enjoyed that quite a bit.

I am going to read more books in this series. The only reason I didn't give this book a higher rating was because of the time jumps and confusion it caused me. Other readers might not have the same feelings about this and enjoy it more than I did.

I do recommend this book. It has an interesting story and well thought out characters. If you can really get into a book like this, then you will enjoy it.

I received this book free so that I could review it. Even though I received it for free, my opinions are my own and in no way influenced. I did not have to post a positive review in order to receive the book.
